The difference a week makes

There I was sitting on a beach in the Dominican Republic enjoying the weather. A week later I’m scraping ice off the car windscreen at Gatwick! Everywhere is frozen and we have a foot of snow over the yard – the dogs can barely contain themselves!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you all improve this year – new combinations, young horses and old timers alike – some of you have had some fantastic results. It’s always sad to say goodbye to old friends, but there’s been new ones to welcome too.

I will soon finalise the dates for the 2010 Carmen Court jumping clinics. Hopefully we will be out schooling in February in preparation for the spring season events. There are indoor showjumping sessions planned at Eaglesfield and Duckhurst to keep our skills honed over the winter, and also I’ll be finding time for some winter dressage practise before we hit the grass!

I’ve been thinking about doing a summer weekend camp – let me know if this interests you or any other ideas you may have.

I look forward to working with you all in the New Year.
